This post by Marcus Werner is part of our “#place2be” series. Marcus is a photographer, blogger and one half of the finding berlin project, as well as the visual collective DT64, although he is currently following in the footsteps of David Ferdinand Magellan as one of the Leica Explorers. Before departing on his trip to Buenos Aires, Marcus was given a Leica compact camera and asked to document his favorite shops and spots in Berlin.

Urbanhafen

Urbanhafen is the epicenter of Kreuzköllns border Landwehrkanal and so the summer spot for local Berlinians. After laying in the sun you can head over to the nearby Admiralsbrücke, have a delicious Pizza at Il Casolare and watch people enjoying the sunset on the bridge.

I just love this backyard shop on busy Oranienstraße. Not that I could afford their clothes, but I love it as an inspirational design space which combines styles through interior and high quality fashion.

Café ohne Namen

This relaxed café is my Sunday choice for breakfast. Located on the east and sunny side of Görlitzer Park, it’s the perfect location to have a delicious cappuccino and a tasty breakfast in the sun before you have a walk through the park.
