Munich, the Olympiahalle, still an ingenious location. The soft, tent-like roof structure provides for excellent acoustics, the best we met during the whole tour. And Munich – the city has been one of the earliest Fanta 4 strongholds. 11,000 people are expected to come. We have already been playing all over the town – from P1 to Backstage and Terminal, and now we are going to play here in the Olympiahalle. And again, of course, a lot of celebs are present too – no wonder, since tomorrow there will be Stefan Raab’s high diving event next door. Today, we not only film in 3-D but do also sound record. And we are filming three totals in 2-D in order to have a little movie of the tour and the brilliant stage – it would be bad to have missed that. In short: neither trouble nor expenses will be spared. And tomorrow, we can sleep late. We are only going to Nuremberg – the finish!

Nürnberg (Nuremberg) 27.10.11

[DEUTSCH]

Now, everything has been nearly accomplished. We are in Nuremberg, our last official date of the tour.

Tomorrow, there will be the show in Würzburg but we will have to forego that as we must go to our office to read the c. 1.5 terabyte of data. The Nuremberg Arena is jammed, almost 9,000 people have come.

Unfortunately, that hall is so full of glass and metal that tonight not only the crowd barriers will rattle – with respect to acoustics, a real challenge. But anyway, the whole tour had been a technical and logistics challenge. So it is a good moment to say thank you to all: the musicians, the complete crew, our tour managers, the riggers, the light board operators, the truck and bus drivers, the catering people, the tour laundry, the production manager, the tour manager – thank you to all of you. You did a great job.

And, of course, thanks to Leica, our partner. The M9 is the ever young classic in new form – and perfection. The S2 is a medium format camera wolf in sheep’s clothes of a reflex – at last, a medium format camera one can handle with ease. And, not to forget, the X1 the reliable companion in all situations, the probably best compact camera I have ever used. It was great fun to work with them!

Next year, things will go on. But now evaluating, developing, cutting, grading, mixing, converting, rendering, and printing are on the agenda. That will take till shortly before Christmas. And then, finally, there will be a break.

Merry Christmas to all of you and a happy, hopefully sensational and bright 2011!!!
