Shana Tova!
For many Leica enthusiasts around the world, today is a celebration of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. When our friends at MegaPixel, Israel’s largest photo website, asked us to take part in their Jewish New Year photography project we were happy to oblige. So we took a walk around the Leica factory in Solms with our camera crew and Stefan Daniel, Director of Product Management at Leica Camera AG, to record the video featured above. We are happy to be joining several other companies and photographers from around the world in this fun and exciting project. On the MegaPixel website you can read the full write-up of the “Shana Tova Photography Project” and watch all the video greetings.
All of us at Leica Camera would like to wish a happy new year, “Shana Tova” to all our blog readers celebrating today.

Can we also have some photos from the Portugal factory please!
[...] A: The idea to contact photography companies and photographers for the Jewish new year project came to us several weeks ago while we were considering all sorts of projects for the holiday. We decided to approach all the major photography manufactures (as well as several high-profile photographers) and ask each of them to record a 30 seconds video with a greeting in both English and Hebrew (the Hebrew part was “Shana Tova” – Hebrew for Happy new year). It was really well received both in Israel and around the world. (For more information, please visit the new year project about page.
