  • Conceptual? Yes, rather. But not the often-careless and sometimes skill-less work that so often passes as “conceptual”. There is precision, forethought, and production/post-production skill here. Very feminine, too. Some border on kitsch. But generally engaging and well-done. I’d like to see them printed.

Not sure that this is really a testament to the T, or any other camera. It’s a testament to Katia’s good work.

  • There’s no color like the color red. I usually hate selective color photography, but this might be the first time where I like it. Katia does it so well that it doesn’t look tacky, but looks like art. Very nice work!

  • It is a testament to the Leica T in that, as the interview mentions, it is part of that which inspires her to create. Never underestimate the ability of a good tool in the hand on your confidence to create. People say, “It’s not the camera, it’s the photographer!” van Gogh probably could have created just as well with plastic brushes. But he didn’t, did he — he starved just so he could buy sable brushes. The tool is part of the artist.

  • Really nice images and they would ring true no matte what equipment he used. I’m glad he used a Leica though, as that allowed me to find them here. Nice work.
