Thomas de Monaco, Still Life Photography and the Leica S-Adapter

Thomas De Monaco, a still life photographer and film director, has a direct pictorial language allowing the objects he’s photographing to guide him. He compares the compositions to store front window displays in that “We don’t just shift them around on the table and photograph the details, in many cases they’re also arrangements, with a certain amount of randomness in them.”

His career started as a designer in advertising with DDB and Saatchi & Saatchi before opening his own studio in 1990 where his conceptual approach to still life photography started and continues to evolve today. Admittedly he switched to the Leica S-System because of the lenses; however, as we see in this video interview shot in his Paris studio, Thomas appreciates the newly released Leica S-Adapter H that allows him to use his Hasselblad H-system lenses in an easy and seamless way.

Thomas prefers “raw” photography and no frills, which the S-System provides. The S2 fits ergonomically into his hands turning it to an extension of his eye bringing his photographs to life.

  • Also a thing to mention is that an online business administration program is designed for learners to
be able to well proceed to bachelors degree programs.
The 90 credit certification meets the other bachelor diploma requirements then when you earn your own associate of arts in BA online,
you will possess access to the latest technologies
in this particular field. Several reasons why students want
to be able to get their associate degree in business is because they are interested in this area and want to obtain the general training necessary ahead of jumping in a bachelor college diploma program.
Thanks alot : ) for the tips you really provide in your blog.
