  • It is fascinating to see contemporary results of Barnacks idea. Originally he had constructed his light-weight camera, because he was unable to carry heavier equipment. Barnack suffered from asthma.

  • How much time it would take to publish the photos on online gallery after submission?
    Thanks.

Hi Biswajit! We try to get the images up within two days of their submission, but it may take up to five days for them to go up if there are a lot of entries to process. I checked and your images are now up on the award website. Thank you for your participation.

  • Hi,

Do the images have to be from a long term project? Does it also require to be a photojournalistic approach?

Hi Sam! The images do not have to be from a long-term project. It’s just that one or more images needs to have been taken during 2011 or 2012, so if it is a long-term project at least one image needs to be a recent one. To answer your other question, the images don’t necessarily have to have a photojournalistic approach, but they should express the relationship between man and the environment.

  • Hello,

Will how many rounds of elimination will there be and when do they occur? Or when is any new information announced about the proceedings of the contests?

    Thanks!
